SR 2024
over Towanda Creek
The Holes Bridge has been replaced by a steel girder bridge with concrete deck and parapets, resting on concrete abutments and pier. The original bridge was a pin-connected Parker through truss bridge, built by the Owego Bridge Company in 1909. Its stone abutments were later encased in concrete. It was a single span, 192’ long, 18.3’ wide bridge. The Holes Bridge was determined eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
