Township Engineering
Skelly and Loy provides engineering plan reviews and other design assistance to municipalities on an as-requested basis. We are uniquely qualified to successfully serve as a municipal engineer. Skelly and Loy, through our involvement in local affairs, has developed an understanding of Pennsylvania municipalities. Skelly and Loy has extensive experience in the land development and subdivision plan review process as well as in stormwater permitting, street and drainage design, surveying, and construction/bridge inspection, and our personnel are quite experienced in the protocol of municipal meetings. Skelly and Loy's integrated, solutions-driven approach has a proven track record of achieving project success within budgetary constraints and accelerated time schedules. As the large majority of today's municipal engineering projects are multidimensional, Skelly and Loy has the advantage of being able to successfully integrate both professional and technical disciplines. Our multidisciplinary staff is adept at developing innovative and cost-effective solutions. During our engineering evaluations, we consider all project components including aesthetic values, environmental issues, funding opportunities, community safety, and land use implications. By adequately addressing these components upfront, Skelly and Loy minimizes "study" time and ensures smoother project execution. Also, by providing all of these professional services in-house, Skelly and Loy saves time and money by eliminating the need for most subcontracting specialty professional services. In addition to subdivision and land development, we also assist municipalities with the formulation of new ordinances and construction inspection services.
