Radon Surveys
Radon is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas produced by the natural decay of radioactive minerals contained within the soils and rock materials underlying a home or building. In the United Sates, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. The U.S. EPA estimates that as many as six million homes and buildings throughout the country have elevated levels of radon. Based on this information, the U.S. EPA and the Office of the Surgeon General recommend that homes and buildings below the third floor be tested for radon. Skelly and Loy has performed numerous radon surveys in residential and commercial buildings to assess indoor air quality (IAQ) conditions. Let our experienced staff assist you in with your IAQ needs.
