Aerial Mapping Control
For large parcels, the most cost-effective method to provide topographic information to a client is an aerial topographic map. Skelly and Loy has many years of experience in laying out aerial control targets and coordinate control for projects ranging from just a few acres to thousands of acres. Targets are placed around the site by the surveyor. The exact location of the center of each target is provided to the photogrammetrist. By means of photographs taken from aircraft and the target locations, an aerial topographic map is prepared. Photographs of the site can also be superimposed on the topographic map.
