Water Availability Evaluations
Skelly and Loy provides water availability evaluations for numerous municipal, industrial, and development clients. Prior to development of new facilities or expansion of existing facilities, the adequacy of groundwater or surface water supplies is evaluated to determine whether sufficient water supply is available to serve these proposed projects. Skelly and Loy has analyzed water budgets, area aquifers and geology, and hydrogeology in a project area to determine the availability of water. Upon determining that sufficient water exists, a well or wells are sited utilizing fracture trace analysis, wells are drilled, and long-term pumping tests are conducted. From these tests, the quantity and quality of water available from the well is determined.
